When fee coverage is on, the donor adds the fee at checkout and the full gift lands in your account. If you would rather absorb it, you pay interchange and card brand fees at cost, plus 0.50% + $0.10. There is no platform tip, ever.

How the math works: interchange is set by the card networks (Visa, Mastercard, and others) and varies by card type and how the card is accepted, so your real interchange-plus cost depends on your actual card mix. The interchange fields above are editable estimates. Interchange has a per-item fee as well as a percentage, so both are counted: the defaults, 1.65% and $0.10, are roughly a Visa Signature card, while regulated debit is nearer 0.05% + $0.21. Card brand assessments of about 0.14% plus about two cents per authorization are also included in the interchange-plus total and passed through at cost.
