Merchant services for restaurants

Restaurant card processing with tomorrow’s deposit today.

Payroll is Friday, the produce order is Tuesday, and your card sales are sitting with a processor for two days. Next-day funding is the standard here, not an upgrade you pay a percentage for.

  • Next-day funding on every batch, no payout fee
  • Tip adjustment and end-of-day batching handled at the terminal
  • POS-integrated readers, or standalone terminals if you'd rather
  • Underwritten by a person in 24 to 48 hours

01 Why it matters here

Restaurants run on cash flow. Processing should respect that.

Food cost, labor, and rent all move faster than a two-day settlement window. The gap between a busy weekend and money in the account is where most restaurant cash-flow pain actually lives.

Cash flow

Friday night funds Saturday morning

A Saturday dinner rush batches at close and deposits the next business day. You are not financing your own weekend while a processor holds settled money.

Tips

Tips handled correctly

Tip adjustments post before batch, so servers are reconciled against what actually settled instead of what was authorized at the table.

No surprise holds

Built for volume nights

High ticket counts on a single batch do not trigger a hold here, because your volume was underwritten before you went live rather than flagged after.

Multi-station

One account, every station

Front counter, bar, patio handhelds, and online ordering settle into the same merchant account and the same next-day deposit.

02 Every way to take a card

Every way a restaurant takes a card.

Counter, table, curbside, and online all run on one merchant account with one statement.

At the table and counter

POS-integrated readers

Card readers that plug into your existing restaurant POS so tickets, modifiers, and payments stay in one system. We confirm which systems we integrate with before you sign, not after.

Front of house

Countertop terminals

A standalone terminal for the host stand or bar. Chip, contactless, and PIN debit, with automatic batching at your cutoff time.

Off-premise

Mobile and curbside

Tap to pay on a phone for curbside handoff, patio service, catering drops, and food truck windows.

Online

Online ordering and catering

Hosted checkout and payment links for catering deposits, gift cards, and online orders, powered by CoreGateway.

03 Getting started

Getting set up during service hours you actually have free.

Restaurants do not have a slow Tuesday to spare for a botched cutover. Here is the order it happens in.

01

Send a recent statement

Two or three months. We read your real effective rate against your actual card mix, which for restaurants skews heavily toward rewards cards and raises interchange more than most owners expect.

02

A person underwrites it

Typically 24 to 48 hours. Seasonal swings and high weekend volume get reviewed by a human who understands them rather than an algorithm that flags them later.

03

Equipment is prepared

Terminals arrive preconfigured, or existing equipment is reprogrammed where it can be. We confirm POS compatibility before anything ships.

04

You cut over between close and open

Most restaurants switch overnight with no downtime and no lost service.

04 Pricing

What restaurant processing actually costs

Restaurant card mix is unusually expensive, and almost nobody explains why. A high share of rewards and premium cards, plus tip-adjusted transactions that settle above the authorized amount, push interchange higher than a flat quoted rate suggests.

Why your rate is high

Rewards card share

Diners carry premium rewards cards at a much higher rate than the general population, and those cards carry the highest interchange categories. A flat rate hides this completely.

Settlement

Tip adjustments

A tip-adjusted transaction settles above what was authorized. Handled correctly it costs nothing extra; handled badly it can downgrade the transaction to a more expensive category.

Per-item cost

Average ticket

A $28 average ticket carries per-item fees very differently from a $280 one. Any honest quote has to account for it, which is why we read your statement rather than guessing.

Effective rate

What to compare

Ignore the headline rate. Divide total fees by total card volume on your last statement. That effective rate is the only number worth comparing between processors.

05 Questions

Common questions for restaurants.

Common questions

Anything else, ask a person: (615) 943-9373.

Do you work with my restaurant POS?+

Tell us what you're running and we'll confirm whether we integrate with it before you sign, not after. If your current point of sale system isn't supported, we'll say so upfront instead of selling you hardware you'd have to replace.

How do tips work?+

Tip adjustments are entered before your batch closes, so what settles matches what your servers actually reconciled. The adjusted total is what deposits the next business day.

Will a big weekend trigger a hold?+

No. Your volume and seasonality are reviewed during underwriting, before you go live. We don't re-underwrite mid-stream, so a strong Saturday doesn't get flagged as anomalous.

When exactly do funds arrive?+

Batch by your cutoff time and the deposit lands the next business day, typically by 8:00 AM. Batches after cutoff, on weekends, or on bank holidays deposit the following business day.

Can I pass processing costs to customers?+

In most states, yes, through compliant surcharging. Rules vary by state and card brand, and debit cards can never be surcharged. We configure it correctly for where you operate.

What does approval require?+

A completed application, your business details, and a recent processing or bank statement. An underwriter reviews it, typically in 24 to 48 hours.

Can I keep my current terminals?+

Sometimes. Some equipment can be reprogrammed rather than replaced, and we check before anything ships. If yours can't be reprogrammed, we'll tell you that upfront rather than after you've signed.

What happens if I get a chargeback?+

You're notified the day we receive it, with the reason code and deadline in plain language. You upload your evidence and our team reviews it with you before submission. A chargeback doesn't put your funding on hold.
