Over the last couple of months, CoreCommerce has added some cool new features that we hope you will find useful and to help drive more sales.
Below is a brief description of each new feature. Enjoy!
Shipping Address Book
You can now have a Shipping Address “Book” for each customer, so a customer can keep multiple shipping addresses on file and use any of those addresses during checkout.
You can add addresses inside Customers > Manage Customers and then edit any customer. You will see a section for Shipping Address Book.
Then on the front end, the customer can see and pick from any of the addresses on file to checkout with:
You can now add an Alternative SKU to a product that is searchable. This is useful is you sell products from different manufacturers that use different SKU for the same item. It gives the end customer a way to search by any of those SKUs that represent the same item in your store.
You would simply add the MAIN SKU (your SKU) into the SKU field, and then any alternative SKUs (that you also want to be searchable) into the Alternative SKU field, separated by commas.
Predefined Order Comments
You can now define default order comments at the customer level. If a customer orders from you repeatedly, you can force a special comment to show up in his order by default without the customer having to remember to type it in each time they order.
You can add addresses inside Customers > Manage Customers and then edit any customer. You will see a section for Predefined Note.
Predefined Product Comments
You can now define default line item/product comments at the customer level. If a customer orders the same item from you repeatedly, you can force a special comment to show up tied to that line item, without the customer having to remember to type it in each time they order that item.
You can add addresses inside Customers > Manage Customers and then edit any customer. You will see a section for Predefined Comments.
You can search for a product in the 1st column, and then add the associated comment to go with it in column 2, and then save.
When that item is added to cart by that customer, any note tied to that product for that customer will be included in the line item on view cart, and saved with the order when its placed.
Future Features to Come
We will be adding a new feature for TaxJar Sales Tax SAAS system. With a TaxJar account, you can get any tax rates from any entity without having to keep track of the rates across US states or counties.
You won’t need to remember any rates, or update rates. TaxJar will do it all for you.
You can also keep 100% track of Economic Nexus rules across each state and how its affecting your requirement to collect sales tax in a certain state based on your sales and the rules of each state.
Taxjar tracks all of this and automatically will begin offering sales tax for a certain state when you hit the proper threshold to be able to legally collect tax in that state for that year.
