Over the last few months I have been highly critical, and vocal about CoreCommerce's shortcomings, none more so than the lack of communication from corporate.
Over the last 10 days or so I have received an email from Matt Delong about the new templating system, today I got an email inviting me to a webinar, and a pop up in my store letting me know about the changes.
I am sure I am not the only one who was excited to see these. Thank you CoreCommerce Team for communicating with me - this is a step in the right direction. I hope that you make a habit of delivering this type of communication effort with all your customers.

CoreCommerce is awesome! We signed up for the free trial a month ago and our website went live on Halloween. Their customer service is excellent. Every time we had a question our support tickets were answered in less than an hour and live chat has bee available every time we needed it as well. The platform is easy to use too with nice features. We have been operating our website since 2002 and corecommerce is by far the best hosting and template service we have used (we switched from hostek hosting and ecommercetemplates). We have received a ton of compliments from customers and visitors since the new version of our site went up as well :)

EXCELLENT RESPONSE/Experience from Core Commerce - HELPED fix every Issue! // David Cheney
This Evening I called core commerce to battle through many things that i've been struggling to make work. Between shipping labels, custom fields, and payment issue it was starting to become depressing. I spoke with Tim gates who couldn't have been more helpful. Ya'll must teach an entrance "Patience class" because he sat through an hour of dumb, repetitive questions to walk me through every single issue. I can't tell you how great it is to actually have a REAL person and a very nice,kind one at that. He really knows his stuff. Coming from a previous call with INTUIT, who has horrible representatives (Took 7 different people to turn on 1 button), it's a pleasant surprise. Also, I was on hold for only 2.5minutes which is great for this late of night. Thanks again Tim and core commerce. We are super excited to get our site(s) up and running and feel confident that if we do have an issue, someone (Hopefully like time) will be there to help us out. Thanks again.

I have tried at least 7 different vendors over the past 6 years, and have left every single one, because their support was inferior. We needed an ecommerce service that could help us maintain our many products, and for a inexpensive monthly fee. Corecommerce supports our needs, and then some! The staff is the most friendly, and always sincerely help when I have an issue, which is rare. Support is always available via chat, and in the rare instances they aren't, you just enter a support ticket, and they get back to you typically in just a matter of hours, if not sooner. I just noticed on my website, when I looked at my Related Products category, the "Add to Cart" button had been removed, exactly what I had wanted! I had sent out an idea for consideration a month ago about allowing a choice of adding/removing the "add to Cart" button for Related Products. I am not sure if the idea has been approved, but all of the sudden, I look at my website and it was done for me! It was truly a very pleasant surprise.

One of my customers sent this to me the other day, and I thought it would be a good idea to share it with all of you:
"I decided to start an online business in December, 2011. I needed a storefront and hosting service and based on some reviews, I picked Volusion. Bad mistake! They had lots of free templates, but you had to pay for the better ones. For two months, I tried to get my store looking like what I wanted, to no avail. You could FTP into your site, but they didn’t give you very much there. I called their staff to help with what I thought should be an easy fix for them, since they are the ones that created the template. They could not figure it out. After trying different templates to get the look I wanted, I gave up.
I started my search again looking for the right host. This time I found Corecommerce. Within half an hour after using their free trial, I knew this was the one for me. I signed up right away. I was very impressed with their online help, tutorials, video’s and their support staff. In two days, I had my site looking exactly like I wanted. I imported my products from Volusion, which was easy to do. I’m not a web master and believe me, you don’t have to be one to use Corecommerce. Whenever I spoke to the staff they were always friendly and helpful. They never try to rush you off the phone and they will go out of their way to get things right.
You just can’t beat their product or price. My package included more products, bandwidth, and storage space then Volusion did at the same price. I needed my own SSL. Volusion price, $79.00 for one year. Corecommerce price was $65.00 for setup and you can purchase an SSL for 3 years for about $40.00. So I paid $105.00 total for 3 years of SSL service. Volusion price for three years? You can do the math.
All I can tell you is that I’m very happy with Corecommerce. Do the trial and I’m sure you will agree."
Its when a customer sends me something like this, that makes me LOVE working for CoreCommerce and seeing people succeed with their business.

I've been testing another shopping cart solution alongside CoreCommerce for some weeks now, and I'm closing my account them today. The show-stoppers for me are
*Their Product Download page says "Please Contact Us Immediately If You Have Any Questions" but doesn't facilitate the provision of contact details
*Return to Product Page (button) results in inappropriate emails going to customer and admin
*Return to Product Page (button) results in having to return customer to a fixed URL and not to where they came from
*One cannot provide a download link unless the maximum $150/month subscription is paid, so an HTM file has to be downloaded and clicked on, and the HTM file is a permalink to the download product which can be passed around...
*Absolutely woeful, slow and unhelpful support
I was willing to give the competitor a good go as a single account can be used for multiple site, where as CC requires a new account for each site. But given that this is the only minus I see for CC, and your support really is legendary, you guys have blown your competition out of the water, and I am a true fan. And you can quote me on that!

We looked at 6 different platforms before choosing CC, and the ability to adequately handle multiple product options with dozens of options without creating multiple products was a key factor in our decision-making. Now that we are adding products with that level of complexity, we are extremely pleased with the results. These are still time-consuming to load (there's just no way around that), but the result is a selection/design process that is extremely easy for customers to use.

It was only one week before the air date when Khataland got the call
from the Today Show to be the featured merchant. We faced many challenges
and the urgent deadline complicated the situation. Among those, we had
to figure out how to handle possibly 100,000 hits within minutes after
the show and retool our website to meet specific show requirements.
When we called Corecommerce and spoke to Steve Croft, he immediately
put together a game plan including setting up a dedicated server and
got us enrolled with Cloudflare to save bandwidth usage. Steve
coordinated with his team to efficiently deploy the resources and at
the same time the Customer Solutions team at CoreCommerce (Terry, Daniel, Cameron, Tim) offered great help to us in putting up a special page for the
show.
Three days before the show, we had a conference call with NBC
and we were ready to go! We had no issues on the show date with the
huge traffic we received and the great number of orders coming in a

We changed over from a custom site to corecommerce about 6 months ago and after 6 months I can honestly say it is above my expectations. We had a site built with Tradingeye which is great but due to the developers really messing the code up and spending 10k overall we had to scrap it and start from scratch. We chose Corecommerce because the reviews, features, and cost were better than most. I had trial sites at all the major hosted carts and Corecommerce is the best IMO.
So I just wanted to take the time to leave some praise. Every question I have ever had was answered quickly, the learning curve was easy, and it is just easy to manage the site now. Thank You

I just have to give another shout-out to everyone on the tech support team. I know that everyone has probably been working overtime with all of the recent issues. Luckily, I do not capture numbers, and was not affected by the breach. I have had some shipping issues, formatting issues, etc., that I have not been able to fix myself since I have next to no programming experience. In the past week (and since signing up), I have had wonderful responses from every ticket I've put in and every chat I've had. One more complex issue had to be passed off to the engineers, and that, too, was resolved quickly. I even got a reply from Matt on this forum to one of my issues. It is nice to know that even the CEO will take time out to respond to a customer's needs. Now, I know that I do not have the same issues that some others are experiencing, so I can't speak to those, but I have been very happy with CC so far! I have dealt with many customer service reps and tech support people in my day, and CC has some of the best.

Conversion is up, traffic is up, great transition!
I'd like to take this time to thank a few people that helped A LOT during the transition of our website:
Megan - Amazing support with CSS and design issues. Went out of her way to do things that would normally be a "paid job". Together we solved extremely important problems such as using a CSS work around to make my category and page URLS lowercase, but look friendly on the page.
Brandon - Helped me with problem after problem during our transition. Very blunt and smart guy. For a while I thought he might have been the only person working at CC support because every time he would answer!
Matt - Very responsive and cares about getting things done. A couple weeks ago I found a major SEO flaw. The team went out of their way to push it in an update that came out the same month that I identified the problem. That is called getting it done, very impressive.
Anyone I forgot - There have been numerous people, both that I've talked to and behind the scenes, that have contributed to the succeeding of this transition. I really would like to thank you all including all the other users.
Only 1 Recommendation: Work on website speed. I've optimized my entire website using Page Speed and I still appear to be slower than 69% of the websites out there. It hasn't hurt my rankings, but I think it is something that needs to be heavily considered going forward. I would go further and say it might be more important than any other features do to accessibility.

PayPal Error Messages confuses YOUR customers
Here is what happens if you use PayPal to process your credit card transactions.
Let's say your customer is checking out using a Visa, MC etc. If the transaction is declined, customer gets an error message on your website saying PayPal rejected this transaction even though they were trying to pay using an actual credit card. This error message is created by PP and NOT CoreCommerce. This confuses the customer because they think..I wasn't even using PP, I was using my credit card. Many customers leave your site at this point and you never knew it. I tried to get PP to fix this but you know how the big companies are.
Went to CoreCommerce with this and had a Great experience. They listened, duplicated the problem and FIXED IT.

I just have to say that I have been with Core Commerce for over two years, maybe 3, and the speed of solving problems/issues far exceeds what I have experienced with other e commerce companies, not to mention how polite they are. Migrating from an online home (in our case Volusion) to a new platform is a daunting task. We have a picky demographic that isn't always the techno-savviest group of people, so optimizing the new site for them & what will work best for them was something I've dreaded doing for months now.
We're still not up & running, of course. A lot of tweaking needs to be done on our end. But I dread my days of tweaking less knowing that there are other CC users and folks at CC who are willing to help. You could very easily look down your collective noses at me and call me a silly girl, but ya don't.
I look forward to a time when I'm familiar enough with the platform to be of assistance.
I also look forward to the launch of our next new product, which will be concurrent with the official launch of our CC site!

I Contacted Tech support Via Live chat, cause i had a error with my shipping function. I could complete the checkout.
Kris noticed the problem, and had to correct some faulty code in the database. Guess how long he took to repair it ? Less than 5 minutes !
I was impressed. Something like that would usually have to be sent to the developer via a support ticket. which would have taken much longer.
CoreCommerce certainly has been my best experience to date. Your willingness to listen to your customers and treat them with respect has been really awesome !

I submitted to have the "Powered by" link removed from the footer and it was done...wait for it....in 4 minutes!! Outstanding!! Glad to work with a company that is on the ball and while no company is perfect, CoreCommerce certainly has been my best experience to date. I just though it should be mentioned that it's really great to get monitoring stats like this consistently week after week. It's very rare that I ever get a report that the site was down. I've read a lot of reviews of other major ECommerce online software solutions and it evidently isn't the case with most all of them.

I had a little feature I wanted to add to a certain type of product that required some additional java/html programming and this genius, Andrei, a college student in the Ukraine who I found at the website in the link made it happen twice as fast as he originally estimated and for only $120. He was even able to put all the code, including the java functions inside the productDescription DIV. I'd highly recommend him. You can even pay through PayPal.

The responses to this forum and email responses to questions have been great. I LOVE that there is the admin demo that I can play around with to learn the various features before I'm ready to launch my own store. Only complaint...the templates (or lack thereof).

I wanted to put in my 2 cents and say that the new forum is great and the responses to messages have been outstanding. I look at a forum as community supported and have been impressed the support here. CoreCommerce has had a very active role on the new forum and it has had a good impact. I hope they continue with that support after the newness wears off. If we are successful, they will continue to prosper.
We as a community are the backbone of this forum and need to be supportive. There are some core users that really go out of there way to help everyone. I wanted to give kudos to those members.
I use Digishop and there is not a forum for our community. I believe that there is a large contingent of "us" (digishop) out there and would love to brainstorm with some of those people. Maybe DigiShop could be added as a product that is worthy of forum support here??? While I have some different questions/issues versus CoreCommerce users, this forum has been of great benefit to me. I appreciate having this forum and working with the community. We need each other for support and to make each of our ventures successful.
I know blah, blah, and get out the tissues:) I just really wanted to express my sincere thanks to everyone. I hope that this holiday season is prosperous and great for all!

I feel so conflicted. So frustrated but can't be upset with the coreCommerce team. They are so patient and helpful. Just got a call from Matt and we talked through some of the issues were seeing. Still thing there are issues with the forums and the companies level of understanding of the importance of this 5 week period of the year but the people are simply fantastic.
