You can add custom widgets by using the Manage Image Widget feature in CoreCommerce. To get to this feature, do the following:
Log in to your CoreCommerce Admin Panel
Hover your mouse over Site Content and click on Manage Image Widgets
Click on the Add New LIst button on the right of the page
In the Widget Name box, enter a name for the widget
Click on Add More. For any of the widgets you can either upload an image or use text/code (typically chat code or JavaScript code) or type in text. An example would be site seal code or live chat code. You could go into any image widget (left, right, horizontal or your own custom one) and then in the "Text/Code" field paste in your code. This will show up based on where you have this widget set up to display in your design widget layout (Design > Sidebar Widgets). Once all information has been added click Save at the bottom of the page.
Make sure that if you are using any code, you select at the bottom Display on Non Secure Pages Only, if the code isn't called with https:// If you choose secure pages or both secure and non secure then your customers would get security warning pop-ups because that code is being called through http:// instead of https://. An example is Google Adsense code or YouTube videos. Neither of these currently support https://.
