Yes, you can cancel at any time for any reason without being assessed any extra fees or penalties. To cancel all you have to do is submit a ticket through our account system directly in your admin interface.
Note: Cancellations are only accepted through the ticket account to make sure we have a time/date stamp of the request and to make sure it was really made by the store owner.
No, you cannot host CoreCommerce with a third-party provider because it is hosted on our servers. You can though make CoreCommerce a subdomain of a domain you have hosted with a third-party provider. Just call our support team or submit a ticket if you are already using CoreCommerce to setup your subdomain.
There is a huge difference. CoreCommerce is 100% focused on your ecommerce solution. We are only focused on making sure CoreCommerce gives you the ability to create a successful online store. Other hosting companies who offer ecommerce packages such OSCommerce or ZenCart or Mal’s ecommerce are giving you free ecommerce software to just get your business. They are not at all focused on ecommerce, just hosting (often just trying to get as many people as they can on one server). Don’t expect innovation, rapid software deployment, ecommerce support or consultations with these types of companies. With CoreCommerce you get all of these things, plus hosting at the largest enterprise hosting solution provider Rackspace to ensure great speed and reliability.
Bandwidth is calculated by adding the sum total of Kilobytes KB all images, HTML, CSS and other files from your corecommerce account (website) to a visitors of your website's computer. This includes FTP and emails you send.
NOTE: Search engines & hackersafe scans can take a significant bite out of your allocated bandwidth.

There are several options to choose from for collecting payments. Some options range from setting up merchant accounts to using PayPal or Google Checkout.
No Monthly Fee Payment Providers (Customers will leave your site)
There are a few companies which provide no monthly fee payment processing. PayPal and Google Checkout are the two most popular no monthly fee payment processing. With PayPal they have 3 different types of accounts. For the no monthly fee you would need to use PayPal Standard or PayPal Express. Google Checkout provides no monthly fee processing and is new to the payment collection market. Both of these companies process the credit cards for you on their site so you never have to directly handle or worry about credit card security. With either of these companies they do charge transaction fees for processing credit cards (this applies to any credit card processing company). Google Checkout has one of the lowest processing fees of 2% and 20 cents per transaction. Although Google does give your free processing on sales up to 10 times your monthly AdWords spending (this is Google's advertising program). You also receive fraud protection with Google where Google Checkout protects 98% of Checkout orders on average -- when an order is guaranteed, you get paid even if it results in a chargeback.
Monthly Fee Payment Providers (Customers never leave your site)
If you are looking for a solution where your customers never leave your site to process payments, then you will need a merchant account and a payment gateway. The merchant account can be your bank or a third party company who deposits funds into your business checking account (like direct deposit). Popular payment gateways are Authorize.net, Linkpoint, Pay Flow Pro and PayPal Website Payments Pro. Each of these companies will charge you monthly fees and a transaction fee. Typically you will need to setup an account for Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover with your payment gateway. The transaction fees can vary from 2% to 5% depending on the card type. The benefit of these providers is the seamless checkout experience for your customers since they never leave the your site.
Using both type of providers
You can always use a no monthly fee along with a monthly fee provider. For example, some store owners use Google Checkout and PayPal Standard together along with Authorize.net. This gives customers the flexibility on choose a payment method.
Process Credit Cards Orders Offline
You can choose process orders offline with CoreCommerce. This means you accept credit cards, they are encrypted and then only certain store administrators can view the credit cards (only after typing in a password to unencrypt the card). This method can be used if you choose to use your existing credit card terminal at your brick and mortar store or if you decide to process credit card orders by telephone. Please note though, you cannot save the CVV Code (the security code on the back of your credit card) because the major credit companies do not allow this information to be stored.
Payments besides Credit Cards
CoreCommerce supports payments besides credit cards. You can use accept money orders, COD (Collect on Delivery), Mail in checks, In-store pickup or purchase orders. These methods can be used with any credit card payment method also.
CoreCommerce is already built with search engine optimization in mind. The software uses static HTML pages for your catalog, using your product and category names. Our static HTML pages lose no functionality while everything remains automatic. The software also lets use meta tags and keywords and allows for important text to improve your rankings.
CoreCommerce does NOT charge any transaction fees. We do not think you should be penalized for your store’s success. This can save you thousands of dollars.
Yes, you can remove the "Powered by CoreCommerce" at no charge. Of course we appreciate it if you let us keep our link there, but if you feel it isn't in the best interest of your site, feel free to remove it. You can do this yourself with the custom design or the pre-designed templates, if you are using the generic design just call us and we are happy to remove it for you.
Warning: Some ecommerce software charge you $25/month to remove their links. We strongly disagree with that kind of pricing model. Please check before purchasing from another provider to make sure they do not have this type of outrageous charge.
