CoreCommerce 7.9 Offers Constant Contact and Nextag Integration, HTML URL Improvements and Other Easy-To-Use Ecommerce Tools
CoreCommerce 7.9 is now available! We are excited to announce new features to drive more business to your CoreCommerce stores. We have integrated with Constant Contact, added new store design templates, improved our HTML URL’s and more.
- More Store Design Templates! – You can see the new templates by going to design > store designs. There you can see our newest templates at the top of the page.
- HTML URL Improvements – Previously all url’s contained a string like c-42 or p-4 at the end of a category, product or web page. You can now choose not to use those numbers. You can change this setting by going to settings > store settings > search engine optimization tab. Choose for the mod-rewrite style to “Do not use numbers in the URL except for few special cases”. If you choose this setting, this means your product names, category names and web page names cannot be the same since we dont have the unique identifier number on the url.
- Canonical URL Support – By default your store will support canonical URL’s. What is this crazy word? It is important for search engine optimization. It tells search engines like Google, Yahoo!, etc to ingore any duplicate content and pay attention to the canonical URL. You can read more about this on Google’s blog. If you don’t specify a canonical URL we will automatically do this for you. You can always enter your own by editing a product and expanding the search engine optimization section under the general tab.
- Integration with Constant Contact – We have integrated with the largest email marketing company. If you sign-up with a Constant Contact account or already have one, you will be able to have your customers email addresses be sent directly to Constant Contact. You can also create custom filters. For example these filters will allow you to retrieve all customer email addresses who ordered a certain product and send those to Constant Contact. This will allow you to send specific targeted email campaigns to customers based on what they purchased.
- New Report to Track the Source of an Order – We added a new report called Order Source Report. This report will allow you to know which sources your orders are coming from. For example, admin phone order system, Mobile CoreCommerce, web, point of sale or Facebook.
- Nextag Product Feed Integrated – We added one of the largest marketing feed companies Nextag. You can easily export your products for direct integration into Nextag.
- Batch Approve/Delete Product Reviews – Quickly be able to approve/delete product reviews.
- Product Photo Pop-up Can Use Lightbox Effect – We have enabled by default the lightbox effect for photos. Instead of having just a regular pop-up we use a more fancy web 2.0 lightbox effect to display your larger images. To turn this on go to settings > inventory settings > images. There you will see a checkbox option to enable this. If you have this turned on and it isn’t working, this most likely means you don’t have an include you need in your header templates. You can get that include in our knowledgebase.
- New Payment Gateways Supported – Merchant e-Solutions, IMSP Gateway, Quantum AIM Emulator Gateway
What are we working on now? We are working on many projects. Those include Endicia integration, support to handle multiple ship-to addresses, faster quickbooks sync and more. If you have any great ideas, don’t forget to share
them in our forums.
