CoreCommerce

Here are the new features released by CoreCommerce in the latest version, 8.8.90, which was completed on April 5th, 2012. Enjoy!

  1. You can now configure content pages to ignore the “Force Login Before Viewing Categories/Products” setting (Checkout Settings > Checkout tab > Customer Login section). When this setting is enabled, then even if a customer is forced to login before viewing products, they will STILL be able to view content pages. Before this setting was added, content pages were also hidden until you logged in.
  2. Added the ability to run credits from inside the admin panel when using the Paymentech gateway.
  3. You can now import and export Custom product lists.
  4. You can now configure the store to Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) the Gift Certificate emails to the  admin email account.
  5. Added a new report that will show the current Reward Points Balance of each customer.
  6. Added the ability to use ShipWorks fulfillment
  7. When you view gift certificates in the admin you can now view 2 new columns for “Created Date” and “Expiration Date” (will say “Never” if there is no expiration date). In the admin Phone Order feature, we added a new field when you search for a customer. The new field is Customer Bill Company.
  8. Added the ability for Braintree (orange) users to choose between auth and auth & capture.
  9. Updated the Channel Manager Integration.
  10. Added the Bing product feed export to allow a customer to export products to Bing’s product feed service.
  11. Added 2 on/off switches to allow a user to exclude a product from the Bing and Google product feed exports. This way if you sell items you cannot send to Google, for example, you now have a way to exclude them from the export that CoreCommerce builds to send products to Google.
  12. For a product that has Qty Based Pricing, the system used to NOT allow you to add that type of product from the product list template, since it had to calculate the Qty Based Pricing price. Now, we have added a setting that will allow the customer to add this type of product to the cart from the product list. It will use a Qty of “1” and auto give you the Qty Based Price of “1”. Qty.
  13.  For the “Request a Lower Price” feature, you can now upload an image that will display on the product detail page instead of having to use text i.e. “Request a Lower Price”.
  14. Altered how the category breadcrumbs work on the product detail so that it will only show 1 trail on the product page, vs. having to see all possible trails.
  15. On the Admin Product and Category pages, add the ability to enter in product and category slugs that will become the “title” of the product or category page instead of it having to be the product name.
  16. The Canonical URL in some situations will now auto update itself so you do not have to manually edit them all. For example, when you change your domain name, the Canonical URL inside each product can auto update itself to match, when in the past they would not.
  17.  Added a new setting to choose the number of grid columns on the homepage.
  18.  Altered how you edit a Coupon, so that you do not have to go through the wizard process to edit a coupon anymore. It’s a quicker way to edit a coupon.
  19. Integrated with HubSpot Lead API.
  20. Customers can now view a list of their previously ordered items and re-order them.

Here is our latest release, including a new report and some additional selling tools. Have a great November.

* Gift Certificates – When viewing a gift certificate in the admin, you can now edit the total amount.

* Abandoned Carts – You can now place an order or send out an email to the customer containing the abandoned cart items directly from the abandoned carts page.

* Personalizations – You can sort personalizations and answers tied to them.

* Total Order Cost – The total order cost is now auto-calculated with the item cost of the order.

* Content Pages – Content pages can now be excluded from the Google Sitemap. You can do this by checking an exclude checkbox when adding or editing a content page.

* Restrict # of Characters in Address Field – You can now restrict the number of characters you want to accept with the address field.

* Top Added to Cart Items Report – New report which would show you which products are added to cart most often.

* Customer Membership Groups – When viewing your customer membership groups, you can now see how many customers belong to each group.

* Skip Payment – You can choose to skip the payment screen for $0.00 orders.

* Discontinued Item – You can flag a product as discontinued. This product will show up even if the inventory is out of stock.

* Customer Group Pricing and Quantity Based Pricing – The customer group pricing no longer displays under advanced section. There is now a drop down under general when adding/editing a product to select which pricing to give each membership group. Quantity based pricing is now its own tab when adding/editing a product.

Hey folks:

We have added a few more features and have cleaned up a few places in the admin for easier navigation.

* Twitter/Facebook for your Products – When you add/edit a product (under general section), you can now choose if you want to allow your customers to post your products directly on their Twitter or Facebook account. This is a great social marketing tool.

* Added Recently Viewed Widget – If you add this widget, your customers will be able to view items they recently viewed but have not added to their shopping cart.

* Compare Products – This will allow your customers on your store to compare up to 4 products side by side. Just check the compare checkbox under product settings to enable this feature.

* # of Featured Products – You can set the maximum number of featured products you want to display on the homepage.

* Email a Quote – You can change the email a friend feature to be email a quote. This would allow your customers to see an email a quote link on your product detail page and the form would be sent to the store’s administrators email.

* Send Add to Cart to Cross Sell Page – You can now choose to send your customers to a cross sell only page after an item is added to cart by the customer.

Thanks,

This our latest release including integration being one of the first companies to integrate with Google Web Optimizer!

• Google Web Optimizer Integration – You can now compare one page checkout vs standard checkout to see which one will have higher conversion rates for you site. You can also use Google Web Optimizer to alter some product specific content to see if certain add to cart images, product names or descriptions do better than others.

• Send Order Error Messages to Admin Email Address – If turned on, any time an order is declined by a payment gateway like Authorize.net you will receive an email letting you know . The email contains the order items and contact information of the customer. This only works with payment gateways which have the order completion process end on your site.

• Viewing Coupons Update – When editing a product in the admin, you can now view all current coupons which could be used with this product under the advance link.

• Gross Margin on Product Cost Report – Added the ability to view your gross margin percentage.

• New Timeframes for Reports – On all reports added some new timeframe choices such as last 30 days, last 90 days and All.

• Remember Me Checkbox for Customer – This feature can now be turned on or off. By default this feature is on, but you can turn it off which would removed this option for the customer when logging into their store account.

• PayPal Website Payments Pro configured for authorize first, capture later – You can choose to authorize PayPal Website Payments Pro orders and then you can capture them within your PayPal account later. Authorize and Capture in one-step is still available and is the default setting.

• Stamps.com CSV Export – This export is geared for stamps.com. It contains certain fields for easier integration into Stamps.com.

• Specify a Default Thumbnail For Your Products – You can now specify a default thumbnail to use on the product grid, search results and widget. If no default is specified then the first photo group listed for the product will be used for the thumbnails.

Hey folks:

This our latest release with a few new features.

• Preview Emails – There is now a preview email when you are modifying a specific email. This way you can view the email you are editing immediately.

• Order Quantity Shipping Update – You can now specify up to 4 different methods to use with it versus only 1 previously.

• Email Auto-Responders – Add the ability to add the first name and last name of the customer through tokens.

• Printer Friendly Product Detail Page – This will allow you to have a print page link on your product detail page. If used, this would open a new window which would contain your product detail page without your header/footer template around it for a more printer friendly page.

• Default Quantity Value – For the product detail page, you can set the value for the quantity field (the default is 1). If you set a minimum quantity value for a specific product that would overwrite this global quantity value.

• Update to Handling Charge – You can now include the handling charge in the shipping rates on the view cart page and during checkout.

• BCC Emails – This is used if you would like to be copied on all of your customers email billing and ship-to email receipts.

• Detailed Sidebar Cart Widget – Added checkout button to the widget.

• Order Time – You can now turn on a setting to view the time an order was placed (ie 07:43am). This can be turned on by going to Settings, Order Processing, Order Settings.

• Subscription Billing – We added the ability for subscription billing to work with offline processing.

• Ebay Stores Fixed Price – We added Stores Fixed Price as an option when listing products with ebay. If you have an ebay store to go along with your CoreCommerce store this would put your ebay items in that store at your discounted ebay rate.

• PayPal Standard Gateway Update – When you are using PayPal standard currently just the order number is passed to PayPal. We updated this to pass the order items also to PayPal. If an order has a gift certificate being used or has a discount (ie coupon) then only the order number will be passed on those orders not the individual items. This is because PayPal standard currently does not support discounts at the line item level.

• Quickbooks Modification – You can now specify whether or not to send the country to Quickbooks for orders. You can also send the product name to Quickbooks as the line item description for invoices or sales receipts.

Thanks again!
