CoreCommerce

Our development team at CoreCommerce continues to add additional features into CoreCommerce based on our customer feedback. Here are a list of some of the new features added.

• Email Auto-Responders – When customers order specific products you can now send them automatic email auto-responders. These responders can contain information about up-selling or cross-selling products or additional/helpful product information like warranty plans.

• View Abandoned/Live Carts – You can view each live cart or abandoned cart in your store. This will let you see the items in the cart, along with the customer (if registered) who is tied to the cart. All live carts or abandoned carts that were in the system before this new feature will have not registered for the customer name, but all new ones will have a customer assigned to if the customer is registered.

• Import Tracking Numbers – If you receive a file with tracking numbers, you can import those directly into CoreCommerce. You would just need to get those tracking numbers into a csv format with the order number it is associated with and with a click of the button your tracking numbers will be inserted into CoreCommerce.

• Splash Page – You can create a splash page from your CoreCommerce administration area. A splash page is a web page that is before your regular homepage which some sites use to display for a short time a promotion or lead into the site.

• FedEx Label Printing – You can print FedEx labels directly in your CoreCommerce admin area. To use this feature, you must configure FedEx in the shipping settings and then click on any order which has been placed. There you will see a link below the order for FedEx Labels.

• Design Widget Layout – We recently added the ability to change the categories widget layout, we have now expanded that ability to the vendors and information widgets. You can set rollover colors for each widget. Giving you more design flexibility.

• States and Provinces Exclude List and Surcharges – You can exclude certain US states and Canadian provinces from appearing to your customers on your storefront. You can also charge surcharges for certain US states or Canadian provinces. An example would be if you wanted to charge a surcharge for Alaska and Hawaii of $10 which would add $10 to all shipping quotes for those two states.

• Turn WYSIWYG on or off – You can now turn the WYSIWYG editor on or off. This can help speed up loading products or categories if you don’t use the editor.

• Custom Meta Tags – Add custom meta tag information without knowing HTML. This requires the full meta tag parameters and will automatically be placed on your homepage.

Stay tuned for more new features in a couple weeks!

We have released several new features into CoreCommerce. Again most of these have come at the request of our customers. We greatly appreciate all of your feedback. If you have any great ideas please share them with us, either by submitting a support ticket or by submitting them in the forum under “Feature Request”.

  • Free Shipping coupons are now available. You can offer free shipping coupons to your customers. This feature has been studied online by many experts and has shown to greatly increase customer conversions.
  • Overhaul of the real-time shipping and tracking. You can now use real-time package tracking to bring live tracking to your website, when using shipping methods other than real-time shipping. Previously the only way to receive real-time package tracking was you had to use real-time rate quotes. This is not the case anymore. So if you are using sub-total method for shipping and you send packages via UPS, you can click on configure next to real-time shipping carriers to setup just real-time package tracking for UPS. Just a reminder support UPS, FedEx and USPS real-time package tracking.
  • Content pages can now be associated with membership groups. This way only certain membership groups like wholesalers could see these specific website pages.
  • Store Closed feature now contains a WYISWYG editor for easy editing so you can add your own picture, content and more to the store closed page.
  • You can now display the order weight on the checkout confirmation page with standard checkout mode. Just go to the link provided and check the “Display Order Weight” setting.
  • If you only ship to a few locations in a specific area, you can now restrict shipping by zip code. This will allow you to guarantee your customers are in your shipping zone before they place an order. This is typically used for companies who sell food, flowers or local items.
  • When creating a product or editing a product we added a “Save and Add New” button. This will eliminate some clicks and save time when adding products.
  • On the call/email for pricing feature, we now display the SKU on the product detail page.
  • If you use product options with pricing, you can now choose to allow prices to display as a range of low to high or just the base price for products with options on the product list page.
